Lululemon Leggings Review: Which Style is Best for You?

Lululemon Leggings Review

Lululemon Leggings Review: I’ll admit, I’m a Lululemon leggings junkie. I’m not a big shopper and don’t splurge on much at all. However, when it comes to my Lululemon leggings I go all out since these leggings truly enhance my life. They are the most comfortable, versatile, and flattering pants I’ve ever worn.

Like many of you, I wear them literally everywhere…to work, the gym, yoga, running errands, parties, bars, restaurants, planes, EVERYWHERE. I could literally go on and on about why I love them so much but that would be pretty annoying and not helpful.

However, if you’ve never worn Lululemon leggings, it can be a bit overwhelming whether you go to the store to buy your first pair or go online to buy them since there are SO MANY different styles and price ranges. Even though they may all look very similar in fit…trust me….THEY ARE NOT. The materials and subtle differences between each style really make them all completely different in the way they fit, feel, and function. So I’ve come up with a brief yet thorough Lululemon leggings review so you have a better idea on which style might be best for you, your body type, and lifestyle.

Wunder Under

These seem to be the number one seller and favorite among most reviews. They are very compressive and have the ability to hold in your shape tightly. They can make almost anyone’s but look good. I used to like these until I discovered the Align leggings. Personally, I think they are slightly uncomfortable and hard to move in. I wouldn’t suggest these for yoga since they are constrictive. However, they would be good for running since they are so supportive. These happen to come in three different fabrics so you can choose which is best for you: Luon is cotton like, Luxtreme is sweat wicking, and Nulux is quick-drying, sweat-wicking, and offers lightweight coverage.

Price Range: $88 – $158

Align

These are my favorite leggings of all time. They are constructed using the Nulux fabric, which feels great on your skin. They are so comfortable that they make every other pair of leggings or pants seem uncomfortable and annoying to wear. I live in these leggings. I switch up my workouts throughout the week with either gym time, running, yoga, or PIYO and these leggings are perfect for all. It amazes me how they are so buttery soft  and skin-like all while being supportive in all the right places. I also love how the waist is high and seamless, making my waist look slim. No matter what you’re doing, you’ll never have to pull these up, which for me is very important. The only negative about the Align leggings is they pill a little after a lot of washes and seem to collect lint easily. Also, if you need a lot of compression, these may not be right for you.

Price Range: $88 – $148

Fast and Free

These leggings are also constructed with the Nulux fabric. They are soft, comfortable, and easy to move in. They are great for running (hence the name). The high waist makes it so you aren’t having to pull them up all the time and also makes your tummy area appear slimmer. They have large pockets on both sides that can fit your iphone, which is quite convenient. However, there have been some complaints regarding the stitching, which has been reported to come unraveled after only a few washes. There have also been complaints about pilling. Overall, these leggings are comfortable, functional, and have some great features but the construction could be improved upon.

Price Range: $118 – $128

in movement 7/8

I’ve heard people say that the perfect leggings would be made with the Everlux fabric of the In Movement combined with the shape and construction of the Align. That being said, the In Movement leggings feel great since they are constructed out of the silky smooth Everlux fabric. They are durable yet lightweight and comfy, which makes them great for almost all workouts such as cycling, yoga, running, training, etc. People would describe them as a mix of the Fast and Free legging combined with the Align legging. The design also gives you a lot of support in the hips and they fit like a part of your body. However, there have been complaints that they seem to lose their shape after a few weeks of wear. These ones definitely had more pros and cons.

Price Range: $88 – $98

Speed Up Tight

There seems to be a unanimous consensus on the Speed Up Tight leggings…they are indeed, very tight. They run on the small side so I would suggest going up one size. Since these leggings fit so snug, they are great for HIIT, cross fit, and running but may be too constrictive for yoga or pilates. They also have a very high waist so they aren’t great for sitting activities such as biking or rowing where it could get bunchy. They are constructed out of the Luxtreme fabric, which has a medium thickness to it. Some people like how thick they are and others complain it’s like wearing a scuba suit. The speed up tight leggings would be great for the winter time due to the thickness. People like all the pockets as well.

Price Range: $88 – $108

All the Right Places

The All the Right Places leggings seem to have the opposite issue from the speed up tights, and that is they run a tad big and would suggest going down a size. These leggings look great on and they literally do hug in “all the right places.” They have a very comfortable fabric and have zoned compression so they aren’t too tight or too loose anywhere. They also have plenty of pockets that people seem to love. The main complaint about these leggings is the waist is constantly creeping down causing you to have to pull them up a lot especially when running or working out.

Price: $118 – $128

Lululemon Leggings Review Summary

There’s no question Lululemon makes some great leggings but depending on your body type and what activities you wear them for, it can be challenging to figure out which ones are best for you. There are many many reviews out there on each style which can be overwhelming. I hope this Lululemon leggings review broke it down in a fairly informative yet simple way so you have a better direction on which ones might work best for you and your lifestyle.

One of the Best Travel Credit Cards: American Express Delta Gold SkyMiles®

0

deltafirstbagfree.com

If you travel more than the average bear such as a successful business person or serial vacationer, you might as well get rewarded on all the money you’re spending on plane tickets and other travel expenses? Right?

Just as important as being rewarded (or possibly more important) is ensuring your travel experience is as easy and manageable as possible. That being said, if you want to start getting rewarded for your travel while making your experience easier, then the American Express Delta Gold SkyMiles® Credit Card at DeltaFirstBagFree.com might be just what you’re looking for.

The American Express Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card has some really great benefits. There are a couple of drawbacks as well so it’s important to know your options. You’ll want to recognize how the credit card can benefit you, not just the various benefits it carries.

The Pros

Earn 60,000 Bonus Miles

Just for signing up for the card, you’ll receive 60,000 bonus miles after you make $2,000 in purchases on your new card within your first 3 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new card within your first 3 months. 60,000 miles is approximately one domestic round trip ticket.

Earn $2 Per Mile on Delta Purchases

You will earn 2 miles per dollar on Delta purchases made with your card and 1 mile per dollar on all other purchases you make with your card. So, if you have 10,000 miles from Delta purchases, you have $200 in rewards but if it’s 10,000 miles from non-Delta purchases, you have $100 in rewards. A penny per mile is the benchmark for non-Delta purchases and 2 pennies per mile for Delta purchases.

Pay for your Travel with Miles

Earn 1 mile per dollar for purchases you make with your Card. This can be anything from every day expenses like gas, groceries, and restaurants, to monthly purchases like your phone bill. Miles are redeemable toward travel on Delta and their 19 airline partners. There’s also no limit to how much you can earn.

First Bag Checked Free

I don’t know about you but it seems like every time I fly I’m spending approximately $50 – $100 per trip (unless it’s Southwest) in checking my bags alone. However, as an American Express Delta Gold SkyMiles® Credit Card holder, your first checked bag flies free on Delta flights and that includes your travel companions’ first checked bag as well. This can save you up to $240 per round trip for a family of four.

Priority Boarding

Nowadays, it seems like I’m checking my bag at the gate more and more since the overhead bin space fills up so fast. However, with the American Express Delta Gold SkyMiles® you will have Main Cabin 1 Priority Boarding on Delta flights so you can stow your bag and settle in sooner.

In Flight Savings

You’ll receive a 20% savings in the form of a statement credit after you use your Card on Delta in-flight purchases such as food, beverages, and audio headsets. Save money while earning free travel!

Exclusive Savings at Delta Sky Club

You and up to two traveling companions can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages, Wi-Fi access, Satellite TV, newspapers and magazines, personalized flight assistance, private restrooms and more. However, there is a fee of $29 per person.

No Foreign Transaction Fees

No matter where you’re traveling, when you use your Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card there are no Foreign Transaction Fees from American Express.

The Cons

Annual Fee

You will be charged $95 per year to use this card. If you don’t plan on traveling with Delta two or more times per yer, it’s not going to benefit you more than it’s worth.

Delta Airlines Only

This card is geared toward the traveler that uses Delta airlines exclusively. You will not receive rewards for traveling with other airlines. However, the miles can be used toward Delta’s airline partners.

Only Earn 1 Mile Per Dollar Spent on Non-Delta Purchases

You will earn 2x the points when using your card on Delta purchases but the rewards are cut in half when using the card on all other non-Delta related purchases.

The Bottom Line

If you travel frequently and plan on flying exclusively with Delta since they are the best airline out there, then this card could really serve you well by earning you free travel and making your overall travel experience easier. However, if you don’t plan on traveling exclusively with Delta (at least two to three times per year) I would suggest finding a different travel rewards credit card.

We hope you enjoyed this review and will find it helpful when deciding which travel rewards credit card is right for you!

How to Order Vegan at Any Restaurant

how to order vegan at any restaurant

When you are just starting out as a vegan, your first few times dining out can be intimidating. I mean, let’s face it, it’s hard to find many vegan restaurants so we have to learn to accommodate ourselves at any restaurant while also being able to enjoy our meal.

Luckily, after dining out hundreds of times as a vegan, I assure you it’s much easier than you may think. I’ve learned how to order at pretty much any type of restaurant except most barbecue joints! Here are some helpful tips on how to order vegan at any restaurant.

Look at the menu online before you go

It’s not a bad idea to pull up the menu online before you head out to see your possible options and how you could modify certain items. For instance, if you find a salad that sounds good you could have them replace the meat with beans, add avocados, etc. Or substitute a creamy style dressing with an oil-based dressing. Or if there’s a veggie pizza, you could order it without the cheese. Have your plan of action before you go so you can order in confidence without sounding so un-decidedly annoying.

be prepared with YOUR questions

Make sure you have your questions ready before you go. For instance if it’s a pasta you’re thinking about, you may want to ask if there’s egg in the pasta or not. Or if you’re at a Mexican restaurant, you may want to ask if the beans were cooked in lard. Or if it’s a veggie burger your thinking of, you’ll want to as if it has egg in it? Also, to not butter the bun. Things like that.

Be polite

To many servers, vegans can be quite annoying to wait on since we always have special questions, requests and modifications. Try to be as polite as possible, not demanding and rude. Definitely don’t get into animal cruelty (this is not the time or place for that discussion). Make sure you order slowly and clearly so the server doesn’t miss anything important and accidentally bring you your black bean burger without the cheese but slathered with mayo!

be specific about your dietary restrictions

It seemed like every time I would go out to eat, the server would always get something wrong and they would top my spaghetti with parmesan cheese by accident or forget that there’s cheese in the veggie enchiladas, etc. so I’ve started to make a point of always telling them that I have strict dietary restrictions and a food allergies to dairy, eggs, and meat instead of just saying “I’m vegan.” This technique seems to guarantee they don’t slip up since it sounds more serious.

Don’t order boring and plain food

One thing that always drives me crazy is when I tell people I’m vegan and they assume I just eat lettuce and carrots (aka rabbit food) which is so far from the reality. So I always make sure that when I go out to eat with family and friends I prove to them just how delicious and creative vegan eating can be. Most of the time my dish looks more colorful and appetizing (and probably tastes better) than the non-vegan dishes. It makes me feel proud of the lifestyle I choose.

delicious vegan Suggestions when dining out

Pastas – sub creamy cheese sauces for olive oil based or marinara sauces. I love tomato basil bruschetta, garlic bread with olive oil instead of butter, pasta primavera or pasta marinara and add whatever veggies and herbs you like.

Salads – no meat or cheese, add extra veggies that sound good to you like sauteed mushrooms, peppers, sweet potatoes, avocado, olives, cucumbers, sun dried tomatoes, chickpeas, black beans, artichokes, corn, fresh herbs, etc. Check to see what vegan dressings they have.

Pizza – veggie pizza without the cheese. Ask for whatever veggies you like on a pizza.

Veggie Burgers – sub the cheese and mayo with avocado. Check what kind of non-dairy sauces they have that may be good with your burger such as barbecue sauce (my favorite).

Sandwiches – no meat or cheese but add more veggies such as lettuce, spinach, tomato, onions, avocado, mushrooms, herbs, sun dried tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, etc.

Mexican – veggie tacos or burritos and replace the meat with beans, add avocado and salsa, no cheese or sour cream. I love veggie fajitas with peppers, onions, mushrooms, and broccoli, cauliflower…basically whatever vegetables they have in the kitchen. Ask for no cheese or sour cream.

how to order vegan at any restaurant

Chinese – veggie fried rice, lo mein or chow mein, veggie egg rolls or dumplings, no egg, no fish sauce, and no oyster sauce. There are usually a few tofu dishes as well and can add tofu to any of the noodle dishes.

Thai – vegetable pad thai, vegetable spring rolls, vegetable curries, and vegetable rice dishes. Just make sure to ask for no egg, no fish sauce (in everything), and that curry paste use is vegetarian.

Vietnamese – veggie spring rolls, veggie curries (make sure curry paste is vegan), sub any meat dishes with tofu and add lots of extra veggies. Make sure there’s no fish sauce on anything.

Middle Eastern – falafels, couscous, veggie samosas, pita, tabouleh, rice. Make sure to ask for no cheese or yogurt.

Indian – veggie samosas, vegetable pakora, bharta (with vegan sauce) saag, dal, rice, channa masala, naan bread (make sure it’s not made with yogurt or butter) ask for no butter, ghee (clarified butter), cream, or paneer (cheese).

There are lots of great apps and websites that will help you find great vegan friendly restaurants near you. This can be especially great when traveling. Here are a few that I love:
